1934 Chevy Comp CoupeOne Omaha team put the finishing touches on a super-powered car they built with a big goal in mind.
Cal Creations began the project over two years ago. The car isn't just built for speed, it's designed to break a world record. "The car is 23 feet long and it weighs just under 6,000 pounds," explained Cal Creations owner, Andy Leach.
Leach heads up the 12-man team that put the machine together. It's designed to go 300 miles per hour and was built from scratch. "This is very passion driven, this is not an eight to five job. A lot of these guys will stay most of the night finishing up stuff. So, we're very blessed to have a very talented team and that's what it takes," Leach said. Owner Ron Cizek will drive the car. "Well I have a few things left on my bucket list, and that is one of them, and I figured before I ran out of time, I better get going on this. So, we started a few years ago," Cizek said. |
