Ed Schefchik drove this car to the 1978 Washington Midget Racing Championship.
Schefchick won 17 features during his career with the WMRA, many of them with this car. Jan Opperman drove this car to a USAC feature win at Ascot Park on September 6, 1976, just six days before being badly hurt at the Hoosier Hundred. This is believed to be Opperman's last win in a midget. Don Edmunds was one of the most prolific builders of midgets through the 1960's and 1970's. His cars were driven by some of the best in the business, including; Gary Bettenhausen, Danny and Jimmy Caruthers, Mel Kenyon, Larry Rice, Rich Vogler and Billy Vukocvich. |
