Turbine Powered Daytona Boss

   This motorcycle was built for Bruce Rossmeyer the Daytona Boss, Allison powered cruiser is a one of a kind bike built by Christian Travert of Travertson Motorcycles of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Bruce is the founder of the Daytona Beach Bike Week event in Florida. A fan of custom bikes Bruce saw Jay Leno’s Y2K turbine powered motorcycle at Daytona and had to have one of his own turbine powered bikes.

• With Bruce being so broad and tall, Christian had to build the bike 10% larger in size compared to his standard bikes.

• Bruce started out selling cars in his own dealership at age 24 and in 1994 when he retired from selling cars he opened up a Harley Dealership in Daytona, Florida. With eight plus dealerships Bruce would ring in over 200 million in sales annually.
• The Daytona Boss bike is powered by a Rolls Royce Allison 250-C10D engine that makes 317 HP and will go 160 plus miles an hour according to Christian.
• The Daytona Boss bike is 100% custom and is the only one of its kind in cruiser form featuring hand-crafted bodywork, carbon fiber wheels and a turbine engine.​
• The bike has a fully programmable computer fuel management system with instrumentation and extensive use of billet aluminum, it’s only logged 21 hours of riding time since new.
• Builders like EJ Potter built turbine driven bikes that would go 150 MPH in the early 1970’s but they were much less sophisticated than Christian's full on custom bikes.
