Weslake Chevy Conversion In 1974 rumors were spreading that sanctioning bodies such as USAC were going to change their rules to only allow stock blocks to be ran. General Motors teamed up with Weslake, an English mfg company, to create a conversion for the Chevrolet engine. This conversion features four valves per cylinder that are push-rod operated. The heads also feature pent-roof combustion chambers the raise the compression ratio. The Weslake kit was sold for around $2500 and includes the cast aluminum valley cover.
