Born June 2nd, 1885, in Seattle Washington, George Riley was an inventor, entrepreneur, adventurist, and known by many as an abstract thinker. He was a self-guided mechanical engineer best known for his performance accessories supplied for the Ford Model T, A/B 4 cylinder engines. By 1920, the first Riley advertisement appeared in a Ford Owner Magazine offering one of his first upgrades for the Model T engine: the Multi-Lift. By the time Henry Ford’s Model A was maturing the quest for speed spawned a whole new movement amount the performance industry. Riley saw the great potential of the new engine and began designing a new overhead valve head that differed from most other aftermarket designs at the time.
