The Richter Streamliner 

Also known as the "Richter Cabin Car" may by the most famous of all the tether cars. Roy Richter was a famous Midget and Indy car racer in the 1940s. Richter also founded Bell Auto Parts and Cragar Wheels. He designed and built this car which dominated Tether Car racing for 10 years. Richter won many National Championships with his cars. 

His success with with Tether cars can be found in the Bob Ames book, "Vintage Miniature Racing Cars"

This car was featured in a 1948 issue of Mechanics Illustrated.
